Rev. Cynthia E. Skripak
Pastor Cyndi and YUMC received a Lilly Foundation Grant for Clergy Renewal to support her study leave in 2018. Pastor Cyndi received her Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York. Since her ordination in 1991, she has served churches in Troy, New York; Arcadia, California; and Croydon and Willow Grove in Pennsylvania, as well as preaching in Munich and Dresden, Germany. Her interests in ministry include welcoming all people, and sharing the joy of loving and being loved by God and God’s people. She encourages her congregation to reach out beyond the walls of the church, sharing the good news that “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!” (Psalm 118:24) Cyndi lives with her husband, Dr. David Breen, Associate Professor of Computer Science at Drexel University. They have two adult sons, Stefan Skripak and Ryan Breen.
I have been in the youth ministry for over 15 years. I believe in the transforming power of our saving LORD and God’s detail plan for every human. My focus in Youth Ministry is to meet students where they are in their Spiritual Journey and provide opportunities for them to take the next step closer to God.
