Prayer Ministry
Praying for one another is a role and blessing of a church.
We have a team designated to pray for the needs of others.
Do you want to join the Prayer Team? Let's talk!
Do you have a prayer request to share with the prayer team?
We invite you to share it here or fill out a form at both entrances
of the Sanctuary.
Missions
Serving others is something we love to do together
Find the mission you love and let's begin to serve!
Purple Bags
The last Sunday of every month, come to church to pick up your purple bag. Take it home, place non perishable goods in the bag and bring it back the 1st Sunday of each month. All donations are taken to the Penndel Food Pantry, which serves hundreds of families each week.
Weavers of Wellness
Meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 9:30am. Prayer shawls are knitted and crocheted as the members enjoy fellowship. The prayer shawls are periodically dedicated during worship and delivered to persons who are ill or grieving.
Trenton Area Soup Kitchen
A group goes on the second Wednesday of the month to serve meals for guests in need.
Family Promise
Four weeks during the year, Yardley UMC hosts families in transition. We are part of a larger mission to come alongside families in Lower Bucks County as they transition into housing. During our host week we need people to stay over at the church, prepare meals and greet families as they arrive each day. Our next host week is November 17-27, 2019.
2020 dates: Feb 2-9; May 3-10; Sept 13-20; Nov 8-15
To sign up, Please reach out to Janice and Kelly.
Or email Office@yardleyumc.org for a complete list of needs.
Service Sunday
One Sunday each year YUMC cancels worship and turns our focus on service. Projects include making blessing bags, wrapping utensils, writing cards to those in need and more! To see pictures of our 2019 Service Sunday, go to our Photo Page.
