Serving within the Church

There are always many opportunities to serve in leadership of the church, whether on a committee, on a ministry team, or  organizing a special event.

People of all ages are encouraged to serve where they are called and gifted by God.

Please get in contact with us if you are interested.

Local Missions & Trips

Serving others is something we love to do together.  Below are just a few of the mission projects that serve our community and beyond.

Find the mission you love and let's begin to serve!

The Mini Pantry

Our Mini Pantry in our parking lot is a great way to give to those in need easily and on a budget. Neighbors are constantly in need and use this resources regularly and anonymously. It is generally restocked twice a week by willing and loving neighbors.

Penndel Food Pantry

Purple Bags food collection is ongoing.  Since 2016, we have delivered more than 16,000 pounds of food to the Penndel Food Pantry, which serves hundreds of families each week. Also, in our parking lot we have a food collection box specifically for the Penndel Food Pantry setup by the Bucks County Housing Group.

Trenton Area Soup Kitchen

This local soup kitchen was set up by First United Methodist Church in Trenton to serve those in need. A group of faithful members of Yardley UMC have sent volunteers to serve each second Wednesday of the month.

Occasionally, there are also kits we assemble for them as the need arises.

MyCalling!

MyCalling! is a mission experience designed especially for middle school students.  We serve our local community during four days of work, worship and fun.  Students sleep and worship at Yardley United Methodist Church and go out into our community to serve at food pantries, churches, and other non profit organizations. We are called to give our middle school students a quality mission experience that calls them into a deeper relationship with Christ and lays the foundation for a life of serving others.

Senior High and Adult Mission Trips

Every summer youth and adults travel to areas where they serve families in economic need.  Students fundraise through the year to defray the cost of the trip.

Winter MyCalling! and Adults in Mission

Every January on Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, groups of youth and adults serve in our community.  We serve Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, Penndel Food Pantry and Bucks County Housing Group just to name a few.

Weavers of Wellness

Prayer shawls are knitted and crocheted as the members enjoy fellowship.  The prayer shawls are periodically dedicated during worship and delivered to persons who are ill or grieving.
